Okay, I've completed a full marathon in 2005 and hiked the rim of the Grand Canyon in May of 2006, so now what? Well, its no rest for the weary...so I'm back on Team in Training's run team this summer. But I'm no fool, I'm training for a 1/2 marathon this time.

These boots are made for hiking!!!

New sport, new gear! Maybe the reason I particpate in these events is the promise of new shoes, sportswear and gear. I ventured into REI and was fitted with a new pair of sturdy hiking boots. After living in running shoes for two seasons, my feet were not used to the drastic change of shoe type. I have to admit, these boots make me feel taller! I can definitely get used to that sensation. I need to venture back to REI to purchase a pack that carries 1 gallon of liquid, trekking poles, hat and pants. Once I'm totally outfitted, I promise to upload a photo.

Hi, I'm doing a college survey based upon various aspects of Walking & Hiking and I need to ask hikers from around the world to complete a short questionnaire. There are several themes including cotswolds outdoor. I'm using this site (cotswolds outdoor) to contact hikers, do you know of any other ways to do this?
Many thanks
